Balikbayan box rate questions
- How much is a balikbayan box to the Philippines?
- Atlas charges one flat door-to-door rate per box based on box size and destination zone, not by weight. Call 1-800-285-2797 or 408-784-0546 for today's balikbayan box rates from Northern California to your recipient's province.
- Are balikbayan box rates based on weight?
- No. You pay per box, so you can fill a Macho or Regular box completely without a per-pound surcharge. We only ask that the box closes and the flaps seal.
- What is included in the rate?
- Free empty box delivery in Northern California, free home pick-up, ocean freight, Philippine customs processing for personal effects and door-to-door delivery to your recipient's address.
- Are there extra fees?
- No fuel surcharge and no residential delivery fee. Remote island municipalities can add a few delivery days but not a separate charge. Oversized or irregular cargo is quoted individually.
